The National indie rock band unveil “Mistaken for Strangers” doc trailer

The National have unveiled the first trailer for their film Mistaken for Strangers, Digital Spy said.

The Brooklyn band's documentary, directed by frontman Matt Berninger's younger brother Tom Berninger, will premiere as the opening night movie of the Tribeca Film Festival on April 17.

Mistaken for Strangers, which takes its name from a single on the band's fourth album Boxer, is described by Tribeca as "a hilarious and touching look at two very different brothers, and an entertaining story of artistic aspiration".

Tom Berninger, a horror buff and heavy metal fan, filmed the group as they toured during 2010 to support album High Violet.

The National recently premiered two tracks - 'Demons' and Don't Swallow the 'Cap' - from their forthcoming album Trouble Will Find Me. The record, the band's sixth, will be released on May 20 through 4AD.
