Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II met with the Iranian delegation led by Minister for Culture and Islamic Guidance, Seyed Mohammad Hosseini, with Acting Armenian Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan.

Catholicos Karekin II hailed the progress between the two countries, stressing the importance of the close cooperation between the two countries’ ministries of culture.

Dwelling on Iran’s Armenian community, Catholicos Karekin II expressed gratitude to Seyed Mohammad Hosseini for the warm attitude to Armenians and respect for Armenia’s religious and cultural values.

Catholicos Karekin II further highly assessed the cooperation between Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Iranian embassy, with the promotion of interfaith dialogue mutually stressed.
