Returns of 66 Polling Stations: 95.1% of Voters Said «Yes»
According to the vote returns in 66 polling stations, 33 587 constituents or 95,1% of the total of 35 314 referendum participants voted for the constitutional amendments. 1412 electors or 4% voted against. 306 ballots were recognized invalid, while the number of inaccuracy made 9. This was stated by Central Election Commission Chairman Garegin Azaryan. In his words, complains were received by central district commissions or CEC during the vote. It should be noted that by 8:00 p.m. local time, when the vote finished in Armenia 53 citizens restored their suffrage through court, Court of Appeal Press Secretary Anna Mkrtchyan told PanARMENIAN.Net. One application was turned down, as the plaintiff did not just notice his name in the register of voters. 14 citizens restored their suffrage in Yerevan, 18 in Syunik region, 10 in Kotayk region, 9 in Lori region and one in Shirak and Gegharkunik regions each.

It should be reminded that according to the latest returns provided by the Central Election Commission of Armenia, as of 9:00 p.m. local time 1 million 483 thousand 383 persons took part in the constitutional referendum in Armenia and abroad, which makes 64.4% of the total number of people having suffrage. Over 418 thousand persons took part in the referendum in the Armenian capital, i.e. 56%. 18 815 Armenian citizens voted abroad within the same period of time.
