Robert Kocharian to Touch upon Tariffs for Russian Gas in Moscow
January 22 in Moscow Armenian President Robert Kocharian will raise the issue of the tariffs for the Russian gas imported to Armenia, RA President's Advisor Vigen Sargsyan stated. In his words, during last year the commodity turnover between Armenia and Russia increased with some 35%. For his part, Armenian Ambassador to Russia Armen Smbatyan stated that 70% of the Armenian energy system belongs to Russia at present. When commenting on the upcoming Year of Armenia in Russia the Armenian diplomat noted that various events will be organized in 26 Russian regions. Famous singer Charles Aznavour and composer Michel Legrand will arrive in Moscow. "The Armenian community of Russia unites a great number of outstanding people the modern world can be proud of," head of the Russian federal agency of culture and cinematography Mikhail Shvydkoy said. To note, Armenian President Robert Kocharian will depart for Moscow to take part in the solemn opening ceremony of the Year of Armenia in Russia, reported RFE/RL.
