Azerbaijan Will Hardly Be Ever Ready for War
The abundance of anti-Armenian publications in the Azeri media after the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents' meeting in Rambouillet is natural, Director of the Caucasus Media Institute, political scientist Alexander Iskandaryan stated. In his words, this propaganda clamor in the neighbor republic is targeted at the home market. "They have nothing to write, thus they write about the "escape" of the Armenian President and about the firmness of Ilham Aliyev. However they say nothing about what can happen in the near future. I am not a prophet either and I cannot foretell further moves of the conflicting parties. One thing is clear - the negotiations will go on, new proposals will be made and submitted to the consideration of the parties," Iskandaryan said.

At the same time he is convinced that hostilities will not be resumed in the conflict region. "I know Azeri politicians. They are not fools and will never wish to wage war. One should not forget that Azerbaijan is not ready for war and will hardly ever be ready for it. Armenia for its part will never attack first. War will not be waged proceeding from regional security as well," he underscored.
