ARMENIA EXTENDED TERMS OF ELECTRIC POWER SUPPLIES TO GEORGIA
Armenia has extended the terms of electric power supplies to Georgia till February 1. As "Arminfo" agency was told in "ArmRosgazprom" CJSC, according to the available contract with "AES-Telasi" company, the owner of energy distribution networks of Tbilisi, the energy supplies to the neighboring republic should have stopped January 15 and the extension of the terms was at the instance of the Georgian party. According to the source, on average some 2 million kWh electric energy at the price of 2.5 cents per kWh are imported to Georgia. Usually there are no problems connected with payment. Let us note that the debt of former owner of the energy distribution networks of Tbilisi "Sakenergo" company for the sum of $4.4 million is not paid off yet.
