Armenia will be exporting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) to Denmark, the Executive Director of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE) said.
According to Karen Vardanyan, the winner of the unmanned aircraft competition has registered an enterprise to manufacture commercial drones.
A preliminary agreement stipulates for a monthly production of 10 drones, he noted. The device will be used for agronomic research and cultivation area surveys.
"This is a major step for Armenia to allow the country to enter the international drone market as well as find foreign partners to promote the sector," Vardanyan said, adding that the drone can also be used for defense purposes as well as to facilitate highway police work.
