ARMENIAN OPPOSITION PARTIES CALLED NOT TO TURN TIGRAN NAGHDALIAN'S MURDER INTO SUBJECT OF POLITICAL SPECULATIONS
16 opposition parties of Armenia have condemned the murder of chairman of the Council of the Public Television and Radio company of Armenia Tigran Naghdalian committed December 28, 2002. Making a statement on that occasion today they called the country authorities and the forces siding with them not to turn that tragedy into a subject of political speculations. "We are very much worried that the inquiry of the case is premeditatedly directed: ruling out other versions of the crime, including the one connected with the shooting in the Armenian parliament in October 1999, which is especially exaggerated among the people," - the document in particular says. The opposition parties suppose that the created atmosphere is inadmissible, especially on the eve of presidential elections in Armenia.
