IMF UNEASY ABOUT AZERI GOVERNMENT ECONOMIC POLICY
The International Monetary Fund has suspended payment of $100 million credit to Azerbaijan due to the unease about the economic policy pursued by the country government. As reported by Russian media, Michael Marid, Fund representative, emphasized that the IMF disagreed with the Azeri government intentions on using the funds gained from selling oil, as well as with some aspects of the declared new tax policy. By today, Azerbaijan has already received two trenches $10 million each.
