"LOKO"-"MILAN" UEFA CHAMPION LEAGUE FOOTBALL MATCH WAS SUGGESTED TO BE HELD IN YEREVAN
Because of the frost usual in Cherkizovo near Moscow the leadership of "Loko" Russian football champion team made an alternative suggestion to the UEFA on holding the home match of the Champion League with "Milan" in Yerevan February 25. In the words of "Loko" technical director Hasan Bijiev, as reported by Russian mass media, "the Armenian Football Federation expressed readiness to receive us, but the UEFA said no, referring to the League regulations, according to which matches may be held only in the field of the team's country." On this account, Krasnodar and Novorossiysk were offered as alternatives.
