Armenians to retain visa-free entry to Georgia

Georgia will not introduce visa requirements for Armenia, the Georgian Foreign Ministry stated in reply to a request from Armenian embassy.

Recently, Georgian media circulated reports suggesting Tbilisi will toughen visa requirements for foreign citizens to demand additional documents and procedures. Specific limits on a stay in the country for tourists will be imposed; the process will be controlled by a migration service which will launch operations in near future.

Currently, citizens of the following CIS states are allowed visa-free entry to Georgia; Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan.
