AZERI OPPOSITION GOING TO PICKET TURKISH AND US EMBASSIES
Tomorrow Azeri opposition is going to organize pickets near the Turkish and US embassies in Baku. As reported by Russian sources, the opposition activists in such a way intend to express their concern over the fact that "Ankara and Washington are involved in attempts to illegally transfer power to Azeri president's son Ilham Aliyev". To note, yesterday Azeri police suppressed the attempt of the Democratic Party (DPA) activists to organize an unauthorized picket in front of the Central Election Committee (CEC) building. As reported by Interfax agency, over 30 DPA members outcrying "Rasul Bey" (Rasul Guliyev is the Democratic Party leader) tried to force their way to the CEC building. The Azeri police suppressed the attempt having arrested 13 participants of the picket. The DPA activists are claiming to register Rasul Guliyev as Azeri presidential contender.
