Independence Day is National Pride
Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan congratulated the Armenian people on the 15th anniversary of the republic's independence, reported the RA government's press office. Margaryan's message says in part, "Dear compatriots, I congratulate you on the 15th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Armenia. 15 years ago our people made a historical choice and acquiring the right of free and independent life experienced hardships and obstacles.
Having founded an independent state in 1991 the Armenian people gave a start to an irreversible process. Celebrating the Independence Day and perceiving independence as an absolute value we should not forget that it bases on the heroic struggle for freedom-loving Armenian spirit. It is not accidental that we celebrate the 15th anniversary of our independence with our compatriots, who arrived in Armenia in an aspiration to be helpful to the homeland. I am convinced that we have the wish and will to counteract all the ordeals and continue the 15-year march of independence with a belief in the future of our state."
