Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian met with his Lebanese counterpart Gebran Bassil in Beirut on May 26.
At the meeting, the parties hailed bilateral ties between the two countries, expressing hope for their further strengthening.
They dwelled on political dialogue between the two states, stressing the importance of expansion of legal field. The parties also underlined the potential for trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and Lebanon.
The officials further noted the important role of the Armenian community in the social, political, economic and cultural life of Lebanon, binding the two countries closer together.
The Ministers also dwelled on Armenian peacekeepers' participation in the mission in southern Lebanon. As Nalbandian noted in this context, Armenia intends to increase the number of peacekeepers in Lebanon.
