WASHINGTON PREDICTS NINO BURJANADZE GEORGIAN PRESIDENT
Georgian parliament chairman Nino Burjanadze is forming an opposition election bloc. As reported by "sakartvelo.ru", Burjanadze is sure of the bloc's victory at the coming parliamentary and presidential elections. This assurance is being shared by the American officials who initiated the bloc formation. It is evident that the inspection conducted by the US Under Secretary of State James Baker among the group of the pro-western Georgian politicians is already producing results. The realization of the schedule set by Washington for the confirmation of the election code project worked out in the White House is being actively carried out in Tbilisi. The code creates maximum hampers for the falsification in favor of the "power party", thus guaranteeing the victory for the opposition to acting president Eduard Shevarnadze.
