Karabakh serviceman injured in Azeri shelling

Trying to further escalate the situation in the conflict zone, Azerbaijani army continues violating the ceasefire to destabilize the situation along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and the contact line with Nagorno Karabakh.

According to Karabakh Defense Army, 180 ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani forces were registered on the night of December 5-6, with over 3500 shots fired from various caliber artillery weapons, as well as 60-, 82- and 120-mm mortars, AGS-17, RPG-7 grenade launchers and Turkish-made TR-107 rocket launchers.

As a result of the shelling, Karabakh Defense Army soldier Varazdat Khachatryan, aged 20, received a shrapnel wound on December 5, at around 6:45 pm.

Karabakh Defense Ministry vows retaliation, declaring that Azerbaijani authorities bear the whole responsibility for the situation.
