OSCE to Make Every Efforts to Settle 'Frozen Conflicts'
"For OSCE a special importance have 'frozen conflicts' in Georgia, Moldova and Nagorno Karabakh." said OSCE Chairman-in-Office Miguel Angel Moratinos January 11 during a conference in Vienna devoted to terrorism, ecological, and pluralistic problems. In his words, OSCE will direct every efforts to build relations between communities and nations. "There is a wall between these conflicts, which divides nations into two parts, these walls must be destroyed. For reaching favorable solutions for these conflicts we must interfere now and build a basis for further progress." Moratinos underlined. The participants of the conference discussed issues related to terrorism, protecting the environment and OSCE's further activities. It was mentioned that the OSCE Ministerial Council has postponed the discussion of Kazakhstan's bid for chairmanship in the organization during 2009.
