Coca-Cola HBC CEO visits Yerevan, meets local team, explores Armenia

Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company (CCHBC) CEO, Dimitris Lois visited Armenia for the first time. The high-level visit coincided with the 20th anniversary of the start-up of Coca-Cola HBC’s Armenian operations. The main purpose of the CEO’s visit was to get acquainted with the Armenian operations and the local market, interact with the team and share the global vision of CCHBC Group. The head of the company took the time to explore Armenia both as a country and a business unit, also getting to know the nation, its history, culture and traditions.

At a meeting with CCHBC Armenia employees, Lois highlighted the local market challenges and opportunities, latest results and achievements, strategic targets and goals, thus increasing engagement with the Group’s vision. Referring to the company's performance, the CEO noted that Armenia is the leader in terms of packaging quality and is distinguished by high quality of product.

During a Q&A session, employees had a chance to address questions of both business and personal character, receiving answers from the first man of the company. At the end of the meeting, while referring to the success of the company’s performance in Armenia, the CEO also mentioned Armenian DNA as a strong foundation to further develop the business.

Speaking to the attendees, Lois elaborated on the Coca-Cola HBC values – authenticity, caring for people, performing as one, excellence, learning, and winning with customers. He also emphasized the Company’s partnership and engagement with key stakeholders and investment into various community programs. Presenting Coca-Cola HBC’s 20-year activities, Lois emphasized the Company’s involvement in socio-economic development of Armenia, through direct investments.

“We are very close to our consumers in Armenia, ready to refresh them, create value and provide a large portfolio of products. Our local team impressed me with their passion and genuine commitment for our business and for developing their talented people. The hospitality and the rich cultural heritage of the Armenian people will be a lasting memory for me after my visit here,” said Lois.

During his 2-day stopover, the executive also visited the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, afterwards sharing his positive impressions both from the center and the overall visit to Armenia.

During the entire tour, the CEO was accompanied by the CCH Group Regional Directors and high-level representatives of the Coca-Cola Company.
