A new trailer for "The Ring vs. The Grudge" has arrived online ahead of the film's release later this year, AceShowbiz said. Japanese Studio Kadokawa unveiled on Friday, April 22 the international trailer that offers some new footage of Sadako and Kayako terrorizing people who have watched the infamous VHS tape from "The Ring".
Sadako is seen crawling out of a TV set and later coming face to face with Kayako, who makes that eerie noise as she climbs down the stairs. In addition to the two murderous ghosts' conflict, the creepy one-minute video highlights two girls, a man and a little boy who all seem to become their targets.
"The Ring vs. The Grudge" was first teased as an April Fools' joke last year. The film may or may not have a similar tune to "Freddy vs. Jason", which meshed together "A Nightmare on Elm Street" Freddy Krueger to "Friday the 13th" Jason Voorhees. Directed by Kouji Shiraishi, the new horror is set for release in Japan on June 18.
