RA FM hopes for breakthrough in Karabakh talks
The Nagorno Karabakh problem and the Armenian-Turkish border issue were discussed at the meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, RA Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian told a news conference in Yerevan. The Iranian problem was not considered, according to him. "I confirmed the stance of official Yerevan on the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border as well as on the Nagorno Karabakh problem," the RA FM said.

As to the meeting with the OSCE MG U.S. Co-chair Matthew Bryza, the details of the forthcoming ministerial talks were discussed. "I am hopeful for a breakthrough in the Nagorno Karabakh talks in Geneva. The majority of provisions have been already approved by the Presidents of the two states," Oskanian underscored adding that the NKR leadership is well informed of the process development.

When commenting on the regional visit of the OSCE French Co-chair the RA FM noted that Mr Fassier is instructed by the other Co-chairs to hold talks and there is nothing strange in his arriving alone.
