Armenian sportsman Gurgen Hovhannisyan won a silver medal at the 2016 European Youth Boxing Championships in Anapa, Russia.

The Armenian national team brought three bronze and one silver medals overall from the championship.

Arsen Abgaryan, Zhorzhik Marutyan and Gurgen Madoyan had earlier secured a bronze medal each, Armenia’s National Olympic Committee reports.
