Trade turnover between Armenia and Iraq grows by 30% annually, Deputy Economy Minister Garegin Melkonyan said Friday, June 17.
“In 2015, trade turnover between the two countries amounted to $132 million, up from just $49 million in 2012,” Melkonyan said.
Armenian goods, particularly industrial products, exported to Iraq account for the greatest part of the turnover.
“We exported some $80 million and $126 million-worth products to Iraq in 2014 and 2015, respectively,” Melkonyan added.
“Armenia mainly ships cigars, cigarettes, alcoholic beverages, livestock, and processed food products among other things.”
