Armenian government approved draft program of activities for next 5 years
The Armenian government has approved draft program of activities for next 5 years, newly appointed Minister of Trade and Economic Development Nerses Yeritsyan told a news conference June 21. The provisions of the Armenian National Security Strategy and poverty reduction project were taken into account during elaboration of the program, according to him.
The program aims at formation of civic society on the basis of democratic values, creation of atmosphere of trust between the government and population, establishment of social justice, rule of law and equal conditions for competition.
Yeritsyan said the government highlights maintenance of high rate of economic growth and poverty reduction. Another problem is disproportionate development of the regions. Social and demographic problems, reformation of government system, struggle against corruption and state security were also set as main tasks, IA Regnum reports.
The draft program will be submitted to consideration and ratification of the parliament till the end of the month.
