TODAY WE ARE CLOSER TO SOLVING ISSUE OF LAUNCHING ABKHAZIAN RAILWAY THAN EVER, ARMENIAN SECURITY COUNCIL SECRETARY STATED
Among the range of issues discussed in the course of the visit of secretary of the Georgian Security Council Tedo Japaridze to Amrenia, the problem of restoration of the Abkhazian strip of the Transcaucasian railway was also considered. Secretary of the Security Council under the Armenian president, defense minister Serge Sargsian stated upon the completion of the visit of his Georgian counterpart. In his words, the Georgian party again confirmed that it bound the issue with the return of Georgian refugees to Gali region of Abkhazia. "However, today we are closer to solving the issue of launching the Abkhazian railway strip than ever," - S. Sargsian said. It should be reminded that the process of restoration of rail communication via the Abkhazian territory became activated since this March after the Sochi negotiations over the issue between the Russian and Georgian presidents.
