U.S. government is against military operations by Turkey in Iraq
The U.S. government is against any one-sided military operations by Turkey in Iraq, OSCE American Co-Chair, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Matthew Bryza stated in an interview to the PanARMENIAN.Net. He said, Washington acknowledges the terror threat to Turkey from the Workers' Party of Kurdistan (PKK) and Ankara's right to self-defense. "We are sure that Turkey, Iraq and the USA need to cooperate with each in other to eliminate the terror threat from PKK, and we have appointed General Joseph Ralston as a Special Envoy from the United States to solve that problem," he underscored.
