CMCE: Armenia presidential election proved advance
The presidential election in Armenia was an advance towards democracy, chair of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe (CMCE), Foreign Minister of Slovakia Ján Kubiš said at a joint news conference with RA FM Vartan Oskanian.

"My visit to Armenia fell on a period of utmost importance for the republic. The past presidential election will be in focus of talks with top officials and opposition representatives," he said, adding, "I am confident that the Armenian government will take account of the OSCE and OSCE-ODIHR recommendations to improve election processes in the republic."

"During the talks with Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian we also referred to regional issue, including the Nagorno Karabakh conflict resolution, as well as the Armenia-Slovakia cooperation," Mr Kubiš said.
