UAR: extremists and xenophobes should be punished
Assaults on people with non-Slavonic nationality have become an ordinary phenomenon in Moscow, head of the Youth Association of the Union of Armenians of Russia Levon Mukunyan told a conference on xenophobia.

"Peaceful and innocent people are killed because of their nationality. The fact that murders are often committed by 12-year-old schoolboys arouses deepest concerns," he said. "Extremist youth is well coordinated by those who use the propaganda of pseudo-patriotism for their personal purposes, under concealed patronage of some high-ranking officials."

"The authorities should give to understand that crimes can't remain unpunished and develop a state approach to the situation. True patriotism should be propagandized otherwise we will face destabilization," Mukunyan resumed.
