September 15-19 Armenian parliamentary delegation headed by Speaker Armen Khachatrian will visit Latvia on official call. September 16 the delegation will meet with Latvian Seim Speaker Yanis Straume, State Secretary Maris Riekstinsh and chairman of the Council of Ministers Andries Berzinsh. The same day meetings of the Armenian parliamentarians with members of Armenia-Latvia inter-parliamentary cooperation group and Seim committee on foreign relations will be held. September 17 the delegation will be received by Latvian President Vaira Vike-Freiberga. The same day the Armenian delegation will meet with Seim representatives in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Riga mayor Gundars Boyars, Latvian minister of science and education Karlis Greishklans, Armenian community representatives. September 18 the parties will sign a joint statement on cooperation between the Armenian National Assembly and Latvian Seim in matters of harmonization of their national legislation with the EU one.
