Canvas of worldwide famous painter of seascapes Hovhannes Aivazovsky "Ship aground" (1872), whose estimated value is 80 thousand US dollars, has been stolen from Novosibirsk picture gallery. As reported by "Novosti" Russian information agency, the larceny was committed on Saturday early morning. To all appearance, it is a professional's handwork. In experts' opinion, the stolen canvas will hardly be taken out of Russia, as mainly Russian collectors are interested in Aivazovsky's art.
