INSCRIPTION WITH ANTI-ARMENIAN CALLS APPEARED IN ISHIM CITY OF TYUMEN RUSSIAN REGION
Inscriptions containing insulting expressions addressed to local representatives of the Armenian Diaspora have appeared on houses and sidewalks along the central street of Ishim city of the Tyumen region of Russia. As reported by "Yerkramas" newspaper of Armenians of the south of Russia, in the opinion of the law-enforcement bodies of Ishim, it can give occasion to inflammation of interethnic discord. According to the city office of public prosecutor, "the inscription are most likely the continuation of the conflict between youth groups taken place June 16 - natives and Armenians." Criminal proceedings are instituted due to the fact of appearance of inscriptions of extremist content in compliance with articles on vandalism and instigation of ethnic, racial and religious hostility of the Criminal Code of Russia. There works a specially organized operational and investigation group controlled by the city prosecutor.
