U.S. President-elect Barack Obama stated he will take a new approach to Iran.

"The country is going to be one of our biggest challenges if it continues pursuing the means to make nuclear weapons and engages in exporting terrorism through Hamas and Hezbollah," he told ABC.

"Washington will respect the people of Iran and will set certain conditions to the Iranian authorities," Obama said.
