Armenian lawmaker resigns due to health issues

Lawmaker Mane Tandilyan from the opposition Bright Armenia party is resigning her seat in the National Assembly due to health issues.

Tandilyan said in a Facebook post on Friday, August 14 that she is no longer a member of the governing council of the the party.

"I have had health problems for quite some time, which I have tried to deal with alongside with my work. However, they are no longer compatible with active parliamentary and political activity," Tandilyan wrote.

Tandilyan served as the country's Minister of Labour and Social Affairs of the Republic since May 2018 until she resigned in November 2018.
