Azerbaijan is targeting the Nagorno-Karabakh capital of Stepanakert despite a humanitarian ceasefire agreed upon for the exchange of bodies and prisoners of war, the Karabakh Infocenter reports.

According to residents of Shushi, their city too is under Azerbaijan's fire.

Minutes before the ceasefire was set to come into effect on Saturday, October 10, the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan launched drone strikes, using a large number of UAV's. Also Saturday, the Azerbaijani military struck the residential areas of Karabakh's capital Stepanakert with missiles, launched a drone strike near Yeritsvank community of Karabakh (Artakh), as well as hit the Artsvanik settlement near Kapan, Armenia.

Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey, launched a large-scale offensive against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27, shelling Armenian positions and civilian settlements with large caliber weapons and rocket systems. Armenia and Karabakh have introduced martial law and total mobilization. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. International and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages, as well as the iconic Ghazanchetsots Cathedral in Shushi. Hours before a humanitarian ceasefire was supposed to begin on October 10, Azerbaijan launched a new offensive and struck settlements both in Karabakh and Armenia.
