The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Armenia grew by 2474 to reach 73310 on Friday, October 23 morning – a record number of new infections in a single day – according to information provided by the Health Ministry.

Fresh figures also revealed that 489 more people have recovered, 14 patients have died from Covid-19, while two others carrying the virus have died from other causes in the past 24 hours.

A total of 5760 tests have been performed in the past day, the National Center For Disease Control and Prevention said.

So far, 50,276 people have recovered, 1145 have died from the coronavirus in the country, while 329 others carrying the virus have died from other causes.
