Dozen Armenians injured after Turks attack them in France

Around a dozen Armenians were injured when a group of Turks attacked a peaceful rally in France on Wednesday, October 28, the office of Armenia's High Commissioner for Diaspora reveals.

"This morning, during a rally organized by the Armenian community in France in favor of the recognition of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh), a group of Turks attacked the peaceful Armenian demonstrators with knives, batons and hammers," the Commissioner's office said.

"According to preliminary information, about 10 Armenians were injured, including a woman and a child."

It was reported earlier that a young man who was hit with a hammer by the Turks is in a serious condition.

Azerbaijan, with help from Turkey and Syrian and Libyan mercenaries deployed by Ankara, started a war against Karabakh (Artsakh) in the morning of September 27. The Armenian side has reported deaths and injuries both among the civilian population and the military. Foreign and local journalists too have been injured in Azeri shelling of towns and villages.

Donations can be made to Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, which has launched a fundraising campaign to support humanitarian efforts in Karabakh.
