Turkey: it's Armenia's turn to take steps for reconciliation
Turkey did its best to normalize relations with Armenia, a Turkish senior official said.
State Minister Egemen Bagıs said Ankara has numerously proved its willingness to establish peaceful neighborly relations with Armenia.
"Turkey intends to keep up this line and is hopeful for understanding between our nations. If not, we will make conclusions," he said, Hurriyet reports.
Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Ali Babacan said Turkey and Armenia are "close to reconciliation as never before."
Turkey severed relations and closed the border with Armenia in 1993 as a token of solidarity with Azerbaijan on the Nagorno Karabakh issue.
