Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has taken to the streets in Yerevan to urge the residents of the Armenian capital to join his rally at the Republic Square at 4:00PM.

Pashinyan has come under fire since signing a statement with the Russian and Azerbaijani Presidents to end the war in Karabakh after almost 45 days. Under the deal, the Armenian side was forced to return all the seven regions surrounding Nagorno-Karabakh, having lost a part of Karabakh itself in hostilities.

Pashinyan and his supporters are now marching to the Freedom Square where his opponents and the country's opposition are gathering at 3:00 PM to demand his resignation. Although he urged his supporters to greet their "brothers" at the Freedom Square with applause, the two groups, walking side by side, insulted and cursed each other.

The opposition demonstrators also insulted Pashinyan, who continued calling for restraint.

The country is facing a serious political crisis after the top military brass demanded Pashinyan's resignation. The PM, however, claims he had already dismissed the chief of the Army General Staff. The parliamentary opposition has already weighed in on the situation, urging against bloodshed and calling for a peaceful transition of power.
