Georgia says considering opening of land borders too

Georgia says it is considering opening the land borders too, months after easing air travel restrictions for vaccinated tourists and visitors with negative PCR tests.

According to a report from The Messenger Online, the country's Minister of Economy Natela Turnava said they are working to open the land borders by the same principle as the air borders.

“For example: it will be easier for vaccinated visitors to enter Georgia, as well as for those who have taken the test,” Turnava explained.

Georgia eased entry restrictions for air travel from a number of countries, allowing travelers from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus to enter Georgia beginning from March 1, if they had a negative PCR test from the past 72 hours.
