OSCE chief says looking forward to working with Armenian government

OSCE Chairperson-in-Office Ann Linde has congratulated caretaker Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on victory in the parliamentary elections in Armenia.

Linde, who is also the Foreign Minister of Sweden, stressed the importance of the OSCE/ODIHR observation mission deployed to the country ahead of and during the vote.

"Looking forward to working with Armenian government and wish you success in continued democratic reforms," Linde said, adding that Sweden stands ready to support Armenia.

Caretaker Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s Civil Contract party won 54% of the vote, while Hayastan (Armenia) bloc headed by second President Robert Kocharyan secured 22% of the ballots. "I Have Honor" bloc too will get seats in the parliament.
