AAC Constantinople Diocese: Turks and Armenians "had cried for each other's sorrows for years"
Turkish State Minister and Deputy PM Hayati Yazici attended an Armenian church in Istanbul, Anatolian Agency reported.
Visiting the Surb Vartanants Church in Sisli district of Istanbul, Yazici held talks with Aram Atesyan, Turkish Armenian Patriarchal Archbishop and Chairman of the Religious Council.
Delivering a speech during the visit, Yazici said, "Our political approach does not consist of fanaticism, it is rather based on project management".
Yazici said that political parties should create an atmosphere where individuals could freely fulfill the requirements of their beliefs.
For his part, Archbishop Atesyan said that Turkish and Armenian people "had lived together and cried for each other's sorrows for years."
