Putin hails Armenia and Russia's "truly allied" relations

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said relations between Russia and Armenia "are of a truly allied nature", with a meaningful political dialogue and productive cooperation in various fields.

Putin on Monday, October 18 addressed a message to the participants and guests of the VIII Russian-Armenian Interregional Forum and said relations between the two countries are based on centuries-old traditions of friendship and mutual respect.

"Interregional cooperation plays a very significant role in the development of Russian-Armenian ties, which makes it possible to implement mutually beneficial projects in the economic, social, infrastructural, humanitarian and many other spheres," Putin said in the message published by the Kremlin.

The VIII Russian-Armenian Interregional Forum is being held in Yerevan on October 18-19. A business mission of the Russian Export Center is organized too.
