45 children aged between 12 and 18 have been vaccinated in Armenia, Armenpress reports citing the Ministry of Health.
The country's health authorities have only granted an extension of indication for Moderna's Covid-19 vaccine to include use in children aged 12 to 18 years. Minors should visit policlinics and other vaccine centers with the written consent of their parents.
The 12-year-old daughter of former Armenian Health Minister Arsen Torosyan was vaccinated days earlier.
Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan said on Tuesday, November 2 that 254,000 people – or 12% of the country's adult population – have been fully vaccinated.
