Pashinyan, Putin talk Karabakh, Armenia-Azerbaijan border

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke over the phone on Monday, August 8 to discuss issues related to the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as ensuring security on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

According to a statement from Pashinyan's office, the importance of the full implementation of all the agreements of the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan of November 9, 2020, January 11, and November 26, 2021 was reaffirmed.

Earlier on Monday, Russia’s Defense Ministry confirmed that Azerbaijani forces breached the ceasefire in the Sotk village of Armenia’s Gegharkunik Province. As a result, an Armenian soldier was injured.
