2.8-magnitude earthquake shakes Armenia's south

A 2.8-magnitude earthquake struck the south of Armenia on Friday, December 2 evening, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.

The tremor happened at a depth of 10 km below the surface. It has not caused any damage, but was felt by many people as light vibration in the area of the epicenter.

Weak shaking was felt in some communities of the province of Syunik, including the towns of Meghri, Agarak, Kapan and the villages of Alvank, Nrnadzor and Shvanidzor.
