Defense Ministry denies ceasefire violations registered in Jermuk

No ceasefire violations have been registered in the town of Jermuk, Defense Ministry spokesperson Aram Torosyan said on Monday, March 21, Sputnik Armenia reports.

Torosyan said the Ministry publishes information on Azerbaijan’s ceasefire violations when they happen.

Jermuk was one of the civilian settlements targeted in the latest round of fighting between the two countries on September 13, 2022 when the Azerbaijani military attacked Armenian posts and shelled Armenian settlements both on the border and deep behind the frontline. More than 200 people are dead or missing as a result, the Security Council of Armenia said several days after the attack.
