Armenian defense minister, secretary of the Security Council under the Armenian President Serge Sargsian and Iranian deputy foreign minister Mokhsen Amirzade, who is in Yerevan at present, discussed the situation in the region. As reported by the Department of information of the Armenian ministry of defense, the parties discussed questions of Armenian-Iranian cooperation, as well as exchanged opinions concerning the military-political situation in the region. Development of regional cooperation, holding consultations on security issues were considered as important factors of regional stability. Within that context S.Sargsian and M.Amirzade discussed questions relating to realization of joint programs.
