Some 3000 displaced Karabakh residents arrive in Armenia

As of 06:00 on September 25, as many as 2906 forcibly displaced people have arrived in Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh, the Armenian goverment reports.

The first several hundred refugees from war-torn Nagorno-Karabakh crossed into Armenian territory on September 24, as a forced evacuation begins that could lead to a mass exodus of ethnic Armenians from their historic homeland.

The Armenian government said the flow of forcibly displaced persons continued into the night and the morning of September 25.

On September 19, Azerbaijan launched a full-scale offensive against Nagorno-Karabakh, killings and injuring hundreds, including civilians. On September 20, the authorities ov Nagorno-Karabakh agreed to a ceasefire on Azerbaijan’s terms, including the dissolution of the Defense Army.
