Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Mkhitar Hayarpetyan on Monday, July 2 met with Allan Solomon, NI (National Instruments) Vice President, EMEA Sales, in Yerevan, the press service of the Ministry reports.

Hayrapetyan noted the importance of technological advancement for the progress of the Armenian economy, emphasizing that Armenia has great potential to become a key player in the region.

During the meeting, opportunities for expanding cooperation and implementing joint projects were discussed. State policy on the development of the industry, activities to develop engineering education and the startup ecosystem, the success of Armenian companies in the field of research and development (R&D) and a number of other topics were also on the table.

Opportunities for creating a favorable investment environment in the technology sector and efforts aimed at their implementation were also discussed.
