Armenia's Gor Sahakyan won gold in the European U23 Championships currently underway in Poland after he raised a total of 320 kg above his head, the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports reports.

Earlier, Alexandra Grigoryan (55 kg) and Zhora Grigoryan (55 kg) won gold in the European U20 Championships. Rafik Minasyan, also representing Armenia, became a silver medalist in the junior 61 kg weight category.

Garnik Cholakyan (61 kg), meanwhile, became the European U23 Champion with a result of 275 kg.
