The United World Wrestling has included one of Armenian athlete Artur Aleksanyan’s bouts at Paris Olympics in 2024 among its top Greco-Roman moments from the Olympic Games.

“Never count out Artur ALEKSANYAN ! He was down big against Rustam ASSAKALOV when he used two front headlocks to score exposure, stealing the victory from his Uzbek rival,” UWW said on Facebook.

Aleksanyan defeated Assakalov 9:5 in the men’s Greco-Roman wrestling 97kg category and advanced to the semifinals.
